1. CREATE THE RIGHT ATMOSPHERE
The right atmosphere is essential for a #homespaday. After all, the #homespaday should not only serve beauty, but also deep relaxation.
It is best to put on some soft, relaxing background music, such as the gentle sounds of Tibetan singing bowls or nature sounds. Create a pleasant feel-good atmosphere for your wellness day at home with scented candles or air sprays with calming essences such as lavender or vanilla. Set the room temperature to a comfortable level, dim the light and let the room be lit by candlelight.

2. START OFF WITH A BATH
The best way to start your wellness break is to warm up your body. A bath with aromatic oils and bath salts relaxes tense muscles and prepares the skin and nails perfectly for the subsequent care. After a 10-15 minute period of unwinding, it is time to get out of the tub. If you are tough enough to take a cold shower after bathing, you can give your circulation an nice boost. Now you are ready for a well-deserved Me Day!

A homemade detox drink made from tap water, lemon, fresh mint and grapefruit serves as a stress reliever and provides your body with fluids.

3. TIME FOR SKIN CARE
In order to get your circulation going, a soothing peeling comes follows the extensive bath. First the body, then the face. With a peeling or a peeling glove, you massage the individual parts of the body in circular movements, this removes dead skin cells, refines the complexion and stimulates cell renewal.

The skin around the eyes in particular needs special attention because it is especially thin. To skilfully take care of the sensitive area around the eyes, simply apply the eye cream a little thicker than the eye mask. Once you’ve applied the face mask and eye cream, relax for the next 10-15 minutes. Let the active ingredients work and enjoy your wellness day in peace. Then wash off with lukewarm water.

5. A BALANCED NUTRITION FOR THE SKIN
To protect the skin, it needs to be moisturized. Start at the chin and apply the skin-specific face cream from there. Then gently massage in the care cream from the middle of the face to the outside. Again and again, gently swipe upwards, because this will promote the blood circulation in your face and work in the cream. But not only your face needs moisture – the neck and décolleté are also looking forward to some attention and will thank you.
For the body, it is best to choose a rich body oil or a moisturizing body milk. Work in the oil or milk gently using circular motion. Don’t forget the often neglected areas, such as the hands and soles of your feet.
