All of our studios and suites have one thing in common – lots of wood and natural materials. In the Werdenfelserei, wood has recovered its age-old purpose as a building material, which is also reflected in the rooms. “Naturalness” and “warmth”, these terms have influenced the design of all rooms. Lampshades made of pressed hay, beds made of stone pine and shampoo, body lotion, and shower lotion with the finest scent of alpine herbs. In addition, a stone fountain for Grander drinking water in every room and a sweet “bedtime treat” as a little surprise for our guests. Breakfast in bed? No problem, just let us know.
Spa “HEAVEN ABOVE GARMISCH”
Soak up the sun on our spacious roof terrace and immerse yourself in our heated rooftop pool. Relax in our relaxation room with a fireplace, open roof truss, and comfortable daybeds. Recharge your batteries with a massage or wellness treatment and discover our sauna area with a Finnish sauna (194 °), stone pine organic sauna (149 °), steam bath, and infrared loungers.
CULINARY
The culinary signature of our chef and his kitchen team: regional yet cosmopolitan. The focus is clearly on the delicacies that our guests find on their plates – of high quality and, above all, innovative. The kitchen crew’s credo is “from currywurst to caviar” – there are hardly any limits: if pre-ordered, almost anything is possible.
Naschwerk
Our snack bar Naschwerk offers savory and sweet treats at lunchtime and in the afternoon. Sit down at the “Longtable” – a 6.90 m long dining table made from an old oak tree trunk – or in the cozy lounge. Enjoy our popular tarte flambée, homemade soups, or fresh salads. Round off your afternoon break with a homemade cake from our patisserie and some coffee.
Wurzelwerk
Our restaurant Wurzelwerk is a place of enjoyment in a cozy atmosphere. The „Wurzelwerk“ consists of „Alpinium“, „Heustube“, „Gass“ and „Kaminzimmer“ – all four wonderful and inviting rooms. The ambience is Bavarian-cozy but always interpreted in a modern way. In the generous wine humidor, which also functions as a room divider, numerous fine wines are stored.
Bar neun10
Our bar neun10 is not just a hotel bar. It is a meeting point for guests and locals. Because a good bar is not just a place where you can find excellent and unusual drinks, a good bar is a place where exciting people come together – trusted friends meet fascinating strangers. Let the day end in our bar neun10. Enjoy the cozy atmosphere by the fireplace or take a seat in the beautiful outdoor area on our covered terrace and catch the atmosphere.
TERRACE BY THE CREEK
The Werdenfelserei’s terrace is located next to the Mühlbach creek and the famous Michael-Ende- park. In summer you can start your morning with a hearty breakfast on the covered terrace and let yourself be enchanted by the quiet murmur of the small brook. From lunchtime, savory and sweet delicacies are served. In the evening, you can end your day with a drink from the bar neun10. A small wooden bridge leads directly to the spacious park, where you can relax on small benches under old trees.
Lobby
When you enter the hotel lobby for the first time, your eyes will immediately be drawn to the upside-down tree, the mirrored ceiling, and rock-like walls, containing selected books on local culinary, the most beautiful gardens in the Alps, bees, flowers, and mountains. Directly adjacent is the lounge with its elegant black fireplace and cozy niches that look like washed-out rock caves.

The Werdenfelserei offers an ambiance that radiates coziness and at the same time an international touch. ACTIVITIES IN THE WERDENFELS REGION
In addition to the yoga and fitness courses that we offer our guests, the list of outdoor activities is long: climbing, hiking, trail running, skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing … we could go on indefinitely. You will have to be careful not to tire yourself out because you just couldn‘t get enough. In our Werdenfelserei magazine, we regularly publish inspirations about activities and more in and around Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Just take a look and let yourself be inspired. WINTER IN THE WERDENFELSEREI
When the first snowflakes fall, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is transformed into a dreamy winter wonderland. Then the flakes slowly settle over the Werdenfelserei like a white blanket. It’s worth getting up early after a long, cold night to enjoy a warm cup of tea on our terrace or a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride to marvel at the glittering winter landscape and snow-covered fir trees of the adjacent park.
THE HOSTS
We would like to introduce you to the hosts of Werdenfelserei: the Erhardts, a local family from the Partenkirchen district. For generations, they have proven their capability to provide an exceptional holiday experience with the Fiakerhof, their vacation apartments in Partenkirchen. It was Monika Erhardt‘s big dream to own a real hotel one day. The family fulfilled this dream in 2018 – 51 rooms, including 48 studios and 8 suites with a total of 124 beds.
