Many of our guests agree: our Bachterrasse is the most beautiful spot for those warm summer evenings! And with the front of the Restaurant Alpinium wide open, you can soak up the greenery and nature of the park even while dining indoors.

That said, the Werdenfels region lies right beneath the Zugspitze – and evenings in the mountains can cool down quickly. But no worries: cozy blankets are available all year round for our guests.

Whether dinner is served indoors or out depends entirely on the weather. We also need the flexibility to move and rearrange tables as needed. For this reason, we kindly ask for your understanding that we cannot guarantee specific table requests.

And your aperitif or cocktail creation? That can be enjoyed in any weather – either on the covered terrace or comfortably inside.

You’ve booked the best time of the year, full of excitement – and then suddenly, something unexpected happens. No worries, life happens. To stay on the safe side, we recommend travel insurance with ERGO Reiseversicherung AG, our trusted partner for travel protection.

If you choose not to take out insurance, the following cancellation policy applies:

» Up to 8 days before arrival: No cancellation fee
» From 7 days before arrival: 80% of the total stay will be charged
» No-show or delayed arrival: 100% of the total stay will be charged

Cancellation fees are always calculated based on the total price of the booking.

Up here in the mountains, the air cools down naturally at night – even on hot summer days! Still, all our rooms and suites are equipped with a climate control system.

This system works as passive cooling using groundwater. Cooling is provided through underfloor heating and fan coil units. To help maintain a pleasant indoor temperature during the summer months, we recommend keeping balcony doors closed during the day and drawing the curtains.

And one small request: during the hotter months, please avoid lighting the fireplace in your suite – no cooling system in the world can keep up with a roaring wood fire.

No matter your style – if you’re into extra-long and steamy showers, please make sure to ventilate properly. That means opening windows and balcony doors. Our smoke detectors are a bit sensitive when it comes to steam. Thanks for keeping things cool and under control!

We’ve chosen to build with solid wood – all our living areas are constructed using timber. The result? A wonderfully natural indoor climate, a subtle scent of wood without artificial fragrances, and a distinctive architectural character.

Enjoy the simplicity and harmony of materials rooted in our region. The wood we use comes from Bavaria and Austria – spruce, larch, stone pine, and oak. Our stone floors are sourced from South Tyrol, and the traditional loden fabric used in our upholstery comes from the Chiemgau region.

Dogs are very welcome at our hotel – but must be registered at the time of booking, as we charge an additional nightly fee. One dog per room is allowed.

Please note that beds and sofas are reserved for two-legged guests only. For your four-legged companion, we’re happy to provide a cozy dog cushion by Cloud7 upon request.

If necessary, we reserve the right to charge an additional cleaning fee upon departure.

We kindly ask for your understanding that dogs must be kept on a leash throughout all hotel areas. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant and on the terrace, but we kindly ask that they stay under the table during your visit.

Pregnancy is a special time – and taking care of yourself is more important than ever. While we do not offer massages during pregnancy, we do have relaxing alternatives for expecting mothers. Treat yourself to a soothing break with our gentle facial treatments, as well as manicures and pedicures. High-quality natural cosmetics and tender care will nourish your skin and offer moments of pure relaxation.
